This Master Thesis was created in order to discover, analyze and in general follow the trends of
Intellectual property Rights law regarding t
he electronic museum. Up to date there are a lot of
professionals dealing with intellectual property rights and especially copyright law regarding
actual museums. However
in the rapidly changing environm
ent that the global economy, politics
and technology
indicates, the need
for a spe
cialist on digital matters concerning arts and culture
rises and becomes competitive and demanding. This dissertation examines
all aspects of the

categories
of artefacts that exist
in an e

museum
environment and moreo
ver pro
vides a basic knowledge on
the digitalization procedures, ways
and methods. Starting from the terminology concerning an e
-
museum, it co
ntinues up to the

sues,
such as
the digit
ization at a basic level and
finally blooms up on the most
important matter, this of the applicable law and the fashion in which it becomes applicable in
every single occasion
through a fictional case created to explain the basic issues of copyright
infringement

mutually applicable in every single creation and whether there are loopholes or not, providing,
