This dissertation was written as a part of the MSc in Energy Systems at the International
Hellenic University.
The goal of this dissertation is to examine the potential of Enhanced Geothermal Systems
(EGS) installations for electricity production in Northern Greece. Bibliographical
data on the geothermal fields of Northern Greece are used as input variables in the System
Advisor Model (SAM) developed by NREL, in order to analyze the installation of
an EGS power plant.
