heal.abstract
The dissertation project is divided in two parts: The first part of the thesis project is a gathering of theoretical knowledge concerning Traditional, Emotional and Critical design and an attempt to find similarities and differences among them. Contemporary examples are presented and analyzed which come to reveal benefits and purposeful applications. The second part is about the development of a concept design which is referred to the creation of some everyday products carrying a special attribute. The key words behind this project are Archetypes and Semiotics. These two senses comment on our behavior towards the usual, the signs we recognize as cultural symbols. The final products are results that shake the reality and provoke the people’s reactions to the next level.
