YouTube is one of the most popular social media platforms worldwide that offers free content and can be used for entertainment and educational purposes as well. Most of this content is created by non-professionals, which in times of a pandemic is not always efficient, as it is easy to spread misinformation that can cause really damaging consequences. The main focus of this study is to find out the sentiments of comments that users submit under videos that are related to vaccination against COVID-19. Those comments were obtained using YouTube API and the sentiment analysis was completed with VADER sentiment analysis model. The results show that dominant sentiment is neutral (64%), following the positive (20%) and the negative (16%) sentiments. In addition, six topics were identified among the comments that are about government mistrust, misinformation, conspiracy theories, religious beliefs, effectiveness and safety.
