were adopted during the pandemic.
Initially, the theoretical background of teleworking and human resources management was
studied. More specifically, it was mentioned what are the main aspects of teleworking and
the main effects on the employees and on the organizations. Also, the role of Human
Resources department was analyzed before and during COVID-19 pandemic.
A survey questionnaire was utilized to examine general information regarding teleworking,
the individual's adaption process, the challenges they faced during the remote working, and
all Human Resources policies implemented during the teleworking period. The sample
comprises of 98 people who were teleworking and were at least 18 years old.
According to the results, the adaption was easy for most of the participants. The main
difficulties that they faced were the lack of social interaction, the lack of lack of professional
interaction/communication with coworkers and the lack of suitable place to work in the
home. Regarding the Human Resources policies, most of the managers seemed to adapt to
the new circumstances and managed to communicate clearly with the employees and keep
them motivated.
This research intends to increase scientific understanding in the field of teleworking by
helping organizations to rethink teleworking tactics to maximize resources and expenses
while also enhancing productivity without sacrificing their employees' quality of life and wellbeing.
