This research paper was written as part of the dissertation of the MSc in Management at the International Hellenic University. The purpose of the research is to study whether the Erasmus+ mobility Programme has an impact on the Greek students' personal development and professional careers.
Initially, the available literature review was examined, taking as a reference a wide range of bibliographies, mostly modern. Following this, a survey questionnaire was designed and distributed. The sample of this research is 100 people, Greek students, from various Greek educational institutes and different educational disciplines.
The questionnaire was focused on giving answers to the research questions and supporting the hypothesis that is driven through the literature review, that Erasmus+ mobility Programmes, do have an impactful outcome in the lives of the Greek students’ participants.
After distributing it in various groups consisting of recent graduates and students in their final study years, collecting and analyzing their answers, it is concluded that the Erasmus+ mobility Programme positively affects students' lives and even the non-mobility survey participants, stated that if they had another chance, they would definitely be participating in a mobility programme. It is clear through the results that Erasmus helps students mature and think of future options.
This research intends to increase the understanding of the advantages of mobility programs and adds the need for more research in this subject specifically in Greece addressed to Greek students.
In this study the results are credible, even if there have been observed afterwards certain limitations. The concluded outcome of the survey, confirms the hypothesis regarding the impact of Erasmus+ mobility Programme in the personal development and professional career of the Greek students. It is also observed that most of the sample of participants that have benefited from Erasmus+ mobility are recent graduates. Most of them also managed to find their first job within six months of their graduation.
