heal.abstract
This consulting project was written as part of the MSc in Management at the International Hellenic University. Currently, more and more companies are exploiting what sustainability is and how they can enhance their corporate social responsibility towards the environment, the society, the market and their people as well. Alumil S.A., the pioneering group of companies that produces advanced aluminium systems, is amongst of the most sustainable companies in Greece. The aim of this consulting project is to list, examine and elaborate all the sustainable actions that the company has undertaken through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) department, and more particularly to analyze its green sustainable actions. In order to do so, a thoroughly qualitative and quantitative research was conducted by means of two different questionnaires. The one was addressed to the employees of Alumil S.A., and the second one to external stakeholders of the company. After analyzing the survey results, a viewpoint regarding Alumil S.A. sustainable actions impact on the internal and the external environment was formed. Conclusively, the main goal of the aforementioned methodology was to point out whether Alumil S.A., its sustainable and green profile was recognizable from its micro-environment. By assessing the key findings of this research, it is concluded that the employees of Alumil S.A. were well aware of the sustainable performance of the company. Moreover, all the other respondents who belonged to our personal environment, the International Hellenic University community as well as direct customers of Alumil S.A., they were medium-leveled aware of the company’s sustainable responsibility. Ensuing the research results of this consulting project, several proposals are suggested to Alumil S.A. For reasons of sensitivity and knowledge, these suggestions are targeted to the CSR department of the company, concerning company’s Brand awareness, green marketing strategies as well as green actions within the company.
