heal.abstract
In this digital age, music events and new media are interacting more and more. The purpose of the present work is to investigate how new media might highlight the music experience to the audience and how to maintain the authentic atmosphere which events offer. Particularly, the importance of the music events to people’ s lives will be analyzed as well as the invasion and the rapid evolution of new media in the last century will be examined. Following that, challenges of the extended use of new media and technology will arise and the need to utilize new media in a more sustainable and creative way will emerge. To achieve this, an emphasis is mainly given to a music event with multisensory character, created by me. Its content, its business plan, its strategic management and its marketing will be thoroughly described. Certainly, the meaning and the historical reviews of multisensory experiences and events will be illustrated before the presentation of the music event. The method I followed is non empirical as my idea for the event is inspired from previous music and multisensory events and the outcome is a personal assessment as it has not been accomplished yet in real place and time. The result of this music event might be a live music experience which is enhanced by new media and it is achieved by a music activation in every human’s sense.
