This dissertation was written as a part of the MSc in Data Science at the International Hellenic University. Writing a resume is a difficult effort, especially when choosing the correct keywords. Many people spend many hours crafting and structuring the ideal resume in the hopes that it will be seen by a talent acquisition specialist and, ultimately, help them obtain a job interview. Unfortunately, only around 75% of submitted resumes are ever seen by an actual person. Due to the large number of candidates and resumes sent in response to job listings, talent acquisition experts find manual resume screening methods to be tiresome, inefficient, and time- consuming. In order to speed hiring procedures, standardized automated screening techniques are required to separate qualified candidates from unqualified ones based on their history, education, and professional experience more quickly, more effectively, and with more accurate results.
