Nowadays, a rising concern towards alternative and sustainable forms of tourism has been observed
through tourists all over the world. Thermal tourism is at the center of attention, mostly because of its
growing economic benefits. The present survey aims to investigate how Thermal tourism has been
organized in Greece so far, which type of tourists tend to choose that form of tourism and what
potential space of improvement there is in Greece. Moreover, the survey will try to figure out if Covid
19 affected the desire of tourists to visit spa tourism structures. Information was gathered from the
University’s library and previous similar theses, which had been published on the Internet in
pursuance of comprehending the theme in depth and arranging a theoretical context. Subsequently, an
internet-based questionnaire survey was carried out, in which the participants were asked to state the
reasons why they prefer Thermal tourism, the extent of their satisfaction about how has being utilized
in our country and the compare with Thermal tourism abroad. The methodological framework enabled
the quantification of the customers’ preferences, while the inferential statistics provided breeding
ground for the prediction of the Greece’s Thermal tourism improvement. The results show that the
respondents are satisfied enough with how Thermal tourism has been organized in general, but not
with all of its aspects. Moreover, it was concluded that Greece’s Thermal tourism is not utilizing fully
its capabilities contrary to abroad. In conclusion the paper is going to provide ideas for future surveys.
