The purpose of the present study was to investigate how the latest CAP factors
(monetary benefits, use of technology, use of advisory services, knowledge transfer,
vocational training, and quality of life) influence Greek farmers’ satisfaction with their
work.
The study was based on a survey which gathered quantitative data. the sample sized
consisted of 200 Greek farmers from different parts of Greece.
The 82% of the respondents were male and 70% had graduated from high school.
The results provided evidence that the Greek farmer’s satisfaction with their job
increases their quality of life, monetary benefits, technology assets employed,
knowledge transfer and frequent access to advisory services increase. However, Greek
farmers job satisfaction tends to decease as their dissatisfaction with the vocational
training increases.
To conclude, the most important variables in Greek farmers’ job satisfaction were
quality of life, advisory services, and vocational training.
