This consulting project proposal evaluates the extent of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within the IT
hub of Chubb Business Services EMEA. The aim of this study is to exam the current state of all the affairs
at Chubb and contribute to a larger discussion, concluding into the molding of a technology industry that
is more diverse, equitable and inclusive. The main objective is to gather essential information and data to
better understand the current Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) climate and secondly to propose
actions to improve working conditions for all employees. To enhance overall performance and foster
innovation, it is important to be created a culture that values DEI withing the company.
The key aspect of this project is the recognition of the significance of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion within
the technology industry. DEI initiatives promote an innovative, dynamic, and inclusive in a problemsolving environment. A crucial role is being played by these initiatives in talent acquisition and retention,
as well as addressing the underrepresentation of minority groups (Hewlett et al., 2013). The final aim is
an ongoing dialogue to be contributed about how to foster inclusivity and equity in the tech industry, as
diversity alone does not guarantee equality and inclusion for all of them (Ashcraft et al., 2016). A valuable
case study for Chubb’s Business Service and the success of the research in advocating for positive changes
can be served by this study.
This research adopts a dual approach, as it seeks to initiate a new phase of DEI at Chubb's hub by bridging
gaps between different DEI components and aims to make a broader impact on the tech industry by
setting a precedent for effective DEI practices. This approach is being underlined by the the importance
of adopting a comprehensive and integrated perspective on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, which is
essential for creating a broader tech industry.
