This dissertation was written as part of the MSc in Strategic Product Design at the International Hellenic University.
The dissertation is about the city of Thessaloniki and the possibility of creating a souvenir line for its visitors. Thessaloniki is the second biggest city in Greece and one of the cheapest destination, according to the airline reports and the visitors that were interviewed for the needs of the research. A better understanding of tourism and its market has been presented, along with the types of travelers and the souvenirs they tend to buy every time they visit a place. The history of the city and the importance of its landscape with the museums and the monuments played an important role in the creation of the logo and the graphic designs that can be used for both the products and the promotion of the city in general.
For the creation of the products I would like to thank my supervisor George Liamadis who helped me think as a product designer and his suggestions were vital for the visualization of everything. A special thanks to the graphic designer Eleutheria Straka who helped me with the logo and the graphics.
