Terms of Submission
A. General information
- To submit your work in the IHU Institutional Repository you must be an active IHU community member,
e.g student, professor, researcher, administrative staff etc.,or alumni.
- Before any submission you should have read and understood the IHU Open Access Policy.
- You acknowledge that you have received good and valuable consideration in exchange for the applicable
non-exclusive distribution license.
- The Library may, without notice to you, reject and/or refuse to use any content at any time
where it considers this to be reasonably necessary.
For students
In order to be able to submit your work in the IHU Repository you must
- haveformally succeed the dissertation examination (grade > 5)
- have signed the release form provided by the course office
- haveformally succeed the plagiarism control
- ensure that you have followed the procedure as set in the “Preparing to submit” section.
For alumni
Before any submission you need to contact the IHU Library first. Since you don’t have an institutional account
you need to send your publication to the Library. Then, the library staff
will contact you in order to verify your data and give you further instructions.
Your work will be uploaded by the library staff. Even if you own an institutional account you still need
to contact the Library first.
For researchers
In order to submit your work in the IHU Repository you need to
- have a thorough understanding of the addendum you have signed with the publisher, in cases of previously published works.
- be able to identify the publisher’s policies on Open Access through the project SHERPA/RoMEO
- have ensured,by any legal means, the consent of the other authors – if applicable – before publishing your work in the IHU Repository.
B. Terms of submission
By submitting any content, you represent, warrant and covenant that:
- you understand the International Hellenic University’s plagiarism policy and that all work submitted
is yours and that where you have made use of another’s work, you have cited or attributed the source(s)
according to IHU Regulations.
- You are the copyright owner of this work and to your knowledge your work does not defame any individual
nor infringe the copyright of third parties.
- you have the legal right and authority to accept these terms of submission and to grant the applicable license
- at our request, you will provide the IHU Library with written copies of any consents, permission and licences that
you are required to obtain in accordance with this clause B.
Where you are required to complete a registration form in order to access restricted parts of the site or specific services, you agree to:
- provide true, accurate, current and complete information; and
- to maintain and promptly update your registration information to keep it true, accurate, current and complete.
If the IHU Library has reasonable grounds to suspect that any information supplied for the above purposes is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, the IHU Library reserves the right to suspend your registration and any access you may have to restricted parts of the site or any and all services.
